Brake, transmission, exhaust and glass work is often done by specialty shops that see the same job dozens of times a week. Brake shops replace pads and rotors the same day and usually inspect for free; transmission shops rebuild or replace automatics and clutches, a multi-day job that deserves a second quote; muffler and exhaust shops weld custom pipes and replace catalytic converters, which in many states must meet emissions rules. Alignment and suspension shops fix pulling, uneven tire wear and worn shocks, and radiator shops handle overheating and cooling-system leaks. Auto glass shops replace windshields, often at your home or office, and recalibrate the driver-assistance cameras mounted behind the glass. Window tinting and car audio shops round out the group.

Hours are published for 5 days a week. On most of those days it is open 8 am–5 pm. It is closed on Saturday, Sunday. Fresno is in California, on the West Coast, where the climate ranges from foggy coast to hot inland valleys, wildfire season can affect air quality in late summer, and traffic is the main thing to plan around. US addresses list the street number and name, then the city, state abbreviation and ZIP code, and Fresno follows the same pattern; a suite or apartment number such as Ste 200 refers to a unit inside the building. The map link on this page shows the exact spot.

Brian fixed the ECM on my 2012 Jeep grand Cherokee Overland. Battery light came on, so I changed the alternator and put a new battery in and the battery light was still coming on so I went to A1 auto as recommended by Many, Brian Diagnosed and was able to find out that the ECM was bad as is a common problem on these jeeps because the voltage regulator is built into the computer. The ECM had to be rebuilt or replaced. Brian repaired and saved me at least half of what it would have cost through the dealer. It was done in a very fast, timely manner, still running strong 1k miles later. they helped me and I would recommend and go back again.

Took my 2010 Chevy Malibu in because it would shut off from time to time and the check engine light came on. They did a diagnostic on it and determined that it needed a new ECU. Had the new ECU installed and picked up the car a week later. I then drove it for a day and noticed the same symptoms, so I returned the car and was told that they would run another diagnostic, but thought the problem was the fuse box. My car has been sitting in their lot now for over a month. After repeated calls, they now say they are waiting for the arrival of the part. I have ordered car parts from Amazon in the past and received them in less than a week. I am beyond frustrated at this point. There is no sense of urgency and their lack of ability to fix my car makes me wonder if they are even capable or masquerading as a auto repair shop. What happened to the true professionals?
